The Oakley House Support Unit provides counselling and developmental support to learners who may benefit from professional guidance as they navigate their educational journey.
Our counselling support is responsive to each student’s stage of growth and development, with the aim of strengthening emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience. Support is practical, student-centred and focused on building coping strategies that support both learning and life beyond the classroom.

Support is offered in a safe, theraputic and confidential environment.
The Oakley House Support Unit is led by Angela Viljoen (High School Counsellor).
Referrals may be made by parents, teachers or students via the online Referral Form.
Once received, the Support Unit will make contact to discuss the student’s needs and next steps.
Oakley House School hosts an Educational Psychology internship programme, providing supervised, school-based experience for intern educational psychologists as part of their professional training.
Through this programme, Oakley House is able to offer psycho-educational assessments and related support services where appropriate. All assessment work is conducted under professional supervision and in line with ethical and educational best practice.
The Educational Psychology service is supported by Angela Viljoen and our Educational Psychology Intern, Amy Ingham.
