Oakley House School is ready

In the midst of a global crisis and the current LEVEL 3 lockdown in South Africa, Oakley House School aims to continue providing quality education and professionalism that our families have come to trust.

We consider ourselves ready to reopen and will do so as follows:

Intermediate Phase (Grades 4,5,6, and IP ALP): Wednesday 3 June – Friday 5 June. Intermediate Phase days are Wednesday, Thursday and every alternate Friday. The Intermediate Phase will take the first Friday (5 June), making their week next week three days long.

Foundation Phase (Grades R,1,2,3 and FP ALP): Monday 8 June – Tuesday 9 June and Friday 12 June. Foundation Phase days are Monday, Tuesday and every alternate Friday.

Oakley House High has gone back to school! We are safe, we were ready and we were keen! Grade 7s, 12s and AS returned in this first week of June. If all goes well, our plan is for our remaining Grades to return the week after (8 June). Grade 12s will come back five days a week; all other Grades three days a week. School hours will be 8:00 to 13:00. We hope for the best but we are prepared for whatever happens in these unpredictable times. Our remarkable education continues.

What tools do we use?

Oakley House School uses G Suite, a cloud based powerhouse, that has all the tools necessary for our remote learning. For example, we use Google Classroom (Preparatory) and Google Sites (High) to share our modules and lessons with the learners. Google Meet enables us to provide teacher support for these lessons for groups of learners at a time. Logins, passwords and class codes were issued. Please contact your child's grade/register teacher for any further queries.

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.
